Preparing For Your Visit

“Be Prepared” for a fantastic visitor experience at the National Jamboree by checking out these tips and information points below:

Visitor Check-In

Visitor check-in is at the designated visitor parking area at the J.W. and Hazel Ruby Welcome Center. From there, you are transported to Summit Center on site at the National Jamboree via shuttle buses. J.W. and Hazel Ruby Welcome Center is located at:

Visitors check in for the National Jamboree site is overseen by the Registration and Access team.  Only those who have purchased a day visitor ticket and been through the credentialing process can be on site at the Jamboree. You receive your official Jamboree visitor identification at the J.W. and Hazel Ruby Welcome Center during check-in.

What to Bring

  • Rain jacket or umbrella
  • Refillable water bottle. Refilling water bottle stations are available throughout the site.
  • Good walking or hiking shoes – there will be lots of walking on the site (make sure shoes are broken in and bring extra dry socks). Visitors should wear closed toed shoes.
  • Dress in layers – the weather changes often with passing thunderstorms, and sometimes these changes occur rapidly
  • Sunscreen/insect repellent (consider long sleeves for sun protection)
  • Wide brimmed hat or cap
  • If you forget something, the Jamboree trading post will be well-stocked. And you will want to come prepared to purchase your custom 2026 National Jamboree souvenirs!
  • Food and snacks (see note below regarding cooler and backpack size restrictions).
    • Food is also available for purchase on site from one of the food service vendors.

Shuttle Bus Service

Shuttle from the Ruby Welcome Center to the Summit:
  • Bus transportation back and forth to the visitor parking area at the Ruby Welcome Center is provided throughout the day. Shuttle services begin from the Ruby Welcome Center at 9:30am each day.
Shuttle from the Summit to the Ruby Welcome Center:
  • All visitors are required to return to their cars when visitor hours end each day.
  • Day Visitors: The shuttle drop-off and pick-up on site at the Summit is at the Scott Visitor Center at the Jamboree. The last shuttle into the Jamboree is at 2:00pm and the last shuttle back to the parking area is at 4:00pm.  All visitors must be in line for the shuttle by this time.

Each visitor must wear their Jamboree visitor identification “credentials” and visitor identification credentials must be easily seen during their entire visitor experience.
