Jamboree Service Team Fees and Refunds

2021 National Scout Jamboree Policy

Background: This policy sets the staff fees and refund policy for the 2021 National Scout Jamboree. The Jamboree Service Team (JST)  fee covers the expense of program material, food, insurance and equipment, as well as the use of a tent and cot during your staff experience at the Jamboree.

There will be three JST sessions during the 2021 National Scout Jamboree to allow date flexibility. Applicants will be able to select a session that best suits their schedule when applying to serve at the Jamboree. The following sessions will apply:

  • Session 1 (July 17-24, 2021)
  • Session 2 (July 24-31, 2021)
  • Session 3 (July 17-31, 2021)

Fees are structured to support these three sessions.

Policy: JST fees for the 2021 National Scout Jamboree will be as follows: For JST members ages 16-25 through July 21, 2021:

  • Session 1 (July 17-24, 2021) $450
  • Session 2 (July 24-31, 2021) $450
  • Session 3 (July 17-31, 2021) $450

For JST ages 26+ on or after July 21, 2021:

  • Session 1 (July 17-24, 2021) $500
  • Session 2 (July 24-31, 2021) $500
  • Session 3 (July 17-31, 2021) $895

Payment Schedule: JST applicants are required to submit a $150 deposit upon submission of the application. No further payments are due until a position has been offered and accepted. Once a JST member accepts a Jamboree position, he/she is required to become current with the posted payment schedule within 15 calendar days of accepting the position. Applicants are welcome to make payments per the payment schedule even if a position has not yet been confirmed, thus avoiding the need to catch up on payments once accepted.

Should an applicant not be selected for any position, their deposit and any subsequent payments that have been submitted are 100% refundable. Refunds will be processed back to the credit card used to submit the payment after the close of the Jamboree. Should a position be offered but declined by the applicant, either directly or by not responding to the offer in the allotted time, all submitted fees are subject to the posted refund policy.
